This work-based qualification is aimed at learners who are working, or want to work, directly with clients in organisations providing advice and guidance services. This will provide a firsthand insight in to the principles and process of Advice and Guidance services and will aid career progression. It can provide more opportunities for employment at the Citizens Advice Bureau or within education, training or counselling.

Requirements To complete this qualification, candidates must achieve 21 Credits from a choice of units specialising within your service sector.
Delivery All workplace based (for individual or groups)
Assessment Observation, discussion, personal statement, supporting documentation, portfolio of evidence (internal assessment), and practical demonstrations.
Learner support Learning material, optional in-company workshops
Progression Level 4 Diploma in Advice and Guidance or job roles such as Connexions Advisor, Citizens Advice Bureau staff, Counselling providers, Training and Human Resource Personnel and Awarding body Associates
Fees Funding available subject to eligibility

 

(Level 3 NVQ/QCF) Certificate in Advice and Guidance - Qualification structure

To achieve the Advice and Guidance full Level 3 qualification, learners must complete a minimum of twenty-one credits. The learner must achieve twelve credits from units at level 3 or above; twelve credits must be completed from Group A Mandatory Units and the remaining nine credits from Groups B.
