The aim of this qualification is to contribute to the skills, knowledge and overall performance of team leadership. Its purpose is to provide insight in to the principles and process of team leadership and to aid career progression. The Certificate is designed for those who are entering a management role or who wish to gain a qualification that formally recognises their skills or those who lead a team and are responsible for its performance.

Components BTEC Diploma in Management Level 3
Functional Skills - Math Level 2, English Level 2 and ICT Level 2
Employment Rights and Responsibilities (ERR) [Can be completed either through optional unit within the qualification or Skills CFA ERR Workbook]
Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS) [All have been mapped in to the qualification as part of the apprenticeship]

Overview Nationally recognised Level 3 qualification in Management 
Intended for Those seeking work in Management and those already working in organisations who wish to develop their skills.
Duration 12 month minimum
Requirements To complete this qualification, candidates must achieve 55 Credits from a choice of units specialising within your service sector.
Delivery All workplace based (for individuals or groups)
Assessment Observation, discussion, personal statement, supporting documentation, portfolio of evidence, internal assessment and examinations.
Learner support Learning material, optional in-company workshops
Progression Level 4 Higher Apprenticeship in Management and Leadership or job roles such as Manager, Head of Function or Area Manager
Fees Funding available subject to eligibility

 

(Level 3 NVQ/QCF) BTEC Diploma in Management - Qualification structure

To achieve the Management full Level 3, learners must complete a minimum of fifty-five credits, of which forty-eight credits must be selected from units at Level 3 or above; thirty-one credits must be completed from Group A mandatory units; seventeen credits from Group B optional units and the remaining seven credits can be achieved from optional units in Groups B and C [a maximum of seven credits from group C].
