This qualification provides an introduction to the skills, qualities and knowledge that may be required for employment in the management sector. The aim of this qualification is to demonstrate a range of technical skills and behaviours that support competence in potential roles in management. This includes skills in leading and managing staff, recruiting and selecting employees, developing and implementing operational plans and more.

Duration 12 month minimum
Requirements To complete this qualification, candidates must achieve 92 Credits from a choice of units specialising within your service sector.
Delivery In-company programme for individuals and groups
Assessment Observation, discussion, personal statement, supporting documentation, portfolio of evidence, internal assessment and examinations.
Learner support Learning material, all workplace based
Progression Progression in to middle management roles such as senior/area manager, head of department, stakeholder manager and business development manager

(Level 5 NVQ/QCF) NVQ Diploma in Management and Leadership - Qualification structure

To achieve the NVQ Management and Leadership full Level 5, learners must complete a minimum of fifty-three credits, of which thirty credits must be selected from units at Level 5 or above; twenty-two credits must be completed from Group A mandatory units; twenty-three credits from Group B optional units and the remaining eight credits can be achieved from optional units in Groups B and C.
