This qualification is aimed at those who are already working in a playwork setting and are seeking a supervisory role. The qualifications are designed to cater for the wide range and diversity of job roles where competence in playwork is vital. Settings could be out-of-school work (including after school or breakfast clubs) and seasonal holiday clubs. The qualification covers the knowledge and skills needed when working unsupervised and learners will need to demonstrate their managerial skills in the workplace.

Employment Rights and Responsibilities (ERR) [Level 3 Award in Employment Awareness in Active Leisure and Learning]

Intended for Experienced service providers who are in a position to influence others and bring about improvements in skills and service delivery
Duration 12 months minimum
Requirements To complete this qualification, candidates must achieve 65 Credits from a choice of units specialising within your service sector.
Delivery In-company programme for individuals and groups
Assessment Observation, discussion, personal statement, supporting documentation, portfolio of evidence, onscreen testing.
Learner support Learning material, all workplace based
Progression Job roles such as Senior Playworkers, Assistant Managers of Playwork Facilities or Adventure Centre Supervisor.

(Level 3 NVQ/QCF) Diploma in Playwork - Qualification structure

To achieve the Playwork full Level 3 qualification, the learner must complete a minimum of sixty-five credits, of which forty-six credits must be completed from Group A - Mandatory units and a minimum of nineteen credits from Group B - Optional units.
