This qualification is designed for learners employed in roles in retail who are seeking progression in the same field. It will give learners the opportunity to demonstrate their retail sector-related knowledge to underpin competence in a job role. It allows for personal growth, development and engagement in learning through development of personal, learning and thinking skills (PLTS).

Intended for Those seeking work in Retail and those already working in organisations who wish to develop their skills.
Duration 12 month minimum
Requirements To complete this qualification, candidates must achieve 80 Credits from a choice of units specialising within your service sector.
Delivery All workplace based (for individual or groups)
Assessment Observation, discussion, personal statement, supporting documentation, portfolio of evidence (internal assessment), and practical demonstrations.
Learner support Learning material, optional in-company workshops
Progression Retail Skills Advanced Apprenticeship at Level 3 in (Visual Merchandising or Management) or job roles such as retail assistant, buyer, manager or merchandiser

(Level 3 NVQ/QCF) Diploma in Retail Skills (Sales Professional) - Qualification structure

To achieve the Retail Skills (Sale Professional) full Level 3 qualification, the learner must complete a minimum of forty-three credits in total; of which thirty-three must be achieved at Level 3 or above; ten credits from Group A mandatory units; a minimum of twenty-three credits from Group B optional units; the remaining ten credits can be at levels 2 or 3 from Group C.
