This qualification provides an introduction to the skills, qualities and knowledge that may be required for employment in a particular vocational sector. The aim of this qualification is to contribute to the skills, knowledge and overall understanding of those working in the school sector. They provided a first insight in to the principles and process of Teaching and Learning in Schools and will aid career progression. 

Components Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools Level 2.
Functional Skills - Math Level 1, English Level 2, ICT level 1
Employment Rights and Responsibilities (ERR) [Must be completed through TDA ERR Workbook]

Intended for Those seeking work in Teaching and Learning and those already working in schools or organisations who wish to develop their skills.
Duration 12 month minimum
Requirements To complete this qualification, candidates must achieve 30 Credits from a choice of units specialising within your service sector.
Delivery All workplace based (for individual or groups)
Assessment Observation, discussion, personal statement, supporting documentation, portfolio of evidence, invigilate tests and examinations.
Learner support Learning material, optional in-company workshops
Progression Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning Apprenticeship or job roles such as Teaching Assistant

(Level 2 NVQ/QCF) Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools - Qualification structure

To achieve the Supporting Teaching and Learning full Level 2, learners must complete a minimum of thirty credits. The learner must achieve twenty-four credits must be completed from Group A mandatory units, maximum of three credits from Group B optional units and a minimum of three credits from Group C optional units.
