This qualification is aimed at learners aiming to gain qualifications in assessing, internal quality assuring and external quality assuring, specifically those who assess both competence in the work environment and vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in environments other than the workplace (e.g. a workshop, classroom or other training environment). It can also be very useful to teachers in schools and further education colleges who deliver qualifications with applied learning, such as BTEC Firsts and Nationals. It provides all the key knowledge and qualifications to those wishing to gain a better understanding of the principles and practices of assessment.

Duration 12 months minimum
Requirements To complete this qualification, candidates must achieve 15 Credits from a choice of units specialising within your service sector.

Progression Wide range of progression opportunities to further qualifications such as Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS), Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (CTLLS) and Diploma Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (DTLLS) or job roles such as Assessor, Internal Quality Assurer or External Quality Assurer

To achieve the Assessing Vocational Achievement full Level 3 qualification, learners must complete a minimum of fifteen credits. The learner must all fifteen credits from the mandatory units shown below.
